MIAMI – Miami police collected more than 100 guns during a gun buy-back event held Saturday.
The Miami Police Department said it was able to collect 128 guns and distribute $6,400 in gift cards.

The city of Miami Office of the Mayor joined forces with the Biscayne Gardens Chamber of Commerce, the Rickia Isaac Foundation and the Miami Police and Fire departments to host the gun buy-back event at Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church, officials said.
People who turned in handguns and rifles were able to receive a gift certificate valued at $50 for non-working weapons and $100 for working weapons with no questions asked, police said.
