Serial armed robber hits up 3 more 7-Eleven stores, deputies say

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – A man, who is believed to have robbed four 7-Eleven stores in Pompano Beach over the course of two weeks, is believed to have hit up three other stores this week, Broward sheriff's deputies said.

The latest robberies were reported Tuesday morning and evening.

According to deputies, the man first tried to rob a 7-Eleven store at 7795 W. Oakland Park Blvd. in Sunrise just after 4:30 a.m. but was unsuccessful.

He robbed a 7-Eleven in Wilton Manors a half an hour later at 3095 N. Andrews Ave., deputies said.

The final robbery was reported at 11:45 p.m. at a 7-Eleven in Fort Lauderdale at 5590 NW 31 Ave.

Deputies said the man was armed in each robbery.

Four other armed robberies were reported at 7-Eleven stores throughout Pompano Beach from Feb. 23 to March 7.

Authorities said the robber was armed with either a handgun or machete in each robbery.

According to detectives, a woman was also seen on surveillance video accompanying the man during one of the robberies on Feb. 26 at 2391 N. Dixie Highway.

A different woman was with him in the three latest robberies, authorities said.

Anyone with information about the identities of the man and the two women is asked to call Detective Steven Hoover at 954-321-4209 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
