2 thieves wanted in 3 Dania Beach crimes

Men in white truck stole at least $5K Sunday afternoon

DANIA BEACH, Fla. – The surveillance video is clear and the two thieves didn't cover their faces, so police officers hope that someone may recognize them.

The duo made three Sunday afternoon stops in a commercial area west of Interstate 95 in Dania Beach. They were in a white Ford F-150 truck and wore gloves. Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Gina Carter said the  "conspicuous crew" took items worth at least $5,000.

According to Carter, their first stop was for a Honda generator with a red frame valued at $2,200. It was chained to the Jersey Dawg food truck parked at 1920 Tigertail Blvd., near to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

They also took two new Honda Engine lower ends valued at $2,800 at the Sirocco Marine, 1934 Tigertail Blvd., where there was a surveillance camera, police said.

"The men can be seen as they loaded two large cardboard boxes on their truck and then drive off," Carter said. She said minutes later, the "thieves gained access to a storage container belonging to Ocean Bay Construction," Carter said.

Surveillance video shows them taking a Troy-Bilt generator, a 420 Stihl saw, a Wacker Jumping Jack compactor and several other tools from the storage at 5380 SW 27 Ave.

Police were asking anyone with information to call police at 954-518-0154 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477. There is a $3,000 reward.
