Robber drops his wallet at crime scene, police say

Devonte Levoris Pace made detectives' job easier

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – As he was involved in an armed robbery, Devonte Levoris Pace, 28, took someone's wallet, but forgot his, police said.

One of his friend's pulled out a gun, as they threatened two men who were in a car outside of a Panama City bar, the Pensacola News-Journal reported. The victims said they took about $600 in cash.

He dropped the wallet during his getaway, police said. Not only did the wallet have Pace's identification, but surveillance video also confirmed his involvement.

The 28-year-old was arrested earlier this week and smiled in his mug shot. He faced armed robbery and grand theft charges.
