Burglars target 30 vehicles in Pembroke Park, authorities say


PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office has released a surveillance video that it hopes will help lead authorities to car burglars who that have targeted about 30 vehicles in the Pembroke Park area in the past two weeks.

Deputies said the people in the video are responsible for vehicle burglaries in the area of Southwest 52nd Avenue.

The burglars have smashed windows and rifled through vehicles inside in several apartment complexes, deputies said.

Security video from an apartment complex in the 3700 block of Southwest 48th Avenue captured a burglar as he broke into a car on April 7.

The man in the video has a thin build, is in his early 20s and is about 6 feet tall. Deputies said the man in the video might have arrived at the complex in a Nissan Sentra.
