HOMESTEAD, Fla. – An infant whom police said was taken from her home in Homestead after a domestic dispute has been found safe.
Homestead police said 6-month-old Niveyah Brown was found Thursday morning after she was removed from a home in the 200 block of Southwest 14th Avenue by her father, Solomon Brown, 31.
According to authorities, Brown surrendered to police at a gas station with his baby in tow. Brown, Niveyah and her mother, Alexis Castellano, 27, are at the Homestead police station being interviewed by detectives.
Police said the child's family claims that Brown has a history of domestic violence and might have tried to leave the state.
No other information was immediately available.
