NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – North Miami police are searching for two men who they say ransacked a home before being chased out by the resident.

The men got to the home around 11:45 a.m. Sunday, according to police. The first man is described as black, thin and in his late teens. He was wearing all-black clothing. The other man is described as a white or Hispanic man who was wearing a white shirt.

Police said the men jumped the victim's locked fence and went into the home, ransacking multiple areas of the home. They then went into the victim's bedroom and she chased them out of the home.

The victim said she was lying down in her bedroom when she saw the door open slightly to reveal an unknown man. When she yelled at the man, he and another man ran out through the back alley.

Police said the men took an orange pillowcase from the bed and a red duffel bag to carry away the stolen items, which included a Dell laptop, Xbox, jewelry and several watches. The victim estimated $4,000 to $5,000 worth of items were stolen.
