ISLAMORADA, Fla. – A rare sighting of a great white shark in the Florida Keys over the weekend.

The Miami Herald reports that the 10- to 12-foot shark was spotted by a snorkeling boat off Islamorada on Saturday.

The captain of the HappyCat, Chris Muller, told The Herald that the snorklers on the boat had just gone into the water when a member of the crew noticed the shark in the water.

Muller quickly pulled all 13 of the foreign tourists out of the water on Alligator Reef.

Muller then dove in the water himself to verify that it was indeed a great white and to record video, which he then posted to YouTube.
