MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A man turned himself in to authorities Tuesday in connection with a fatal shooting over the weekend outside a northwest Miami-Dade nightclub, Miami-Dade police spokeswoman Jennifer Capote said.
According to detectives, Cedric Coleman, 29, and the victim, Jackson Wilton, were kicked out of Extacy Gentleman's Club at 726 NW 79th St. Sunday morning after they were involved in an altercation.
Wilton was standing outside the club when Coleman drove by and shot him, police said.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the shooting and declared Wilton dead at the scene.
Another man was also hit during the shooting and taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in a white Nissan Altima, police said. That person is in critical but stable condition.
Coleman faces a first-degree murder charge.
