MIRAMAR, Fla. – A 26-year-old Miramar woman, who has mental health issues, abducted her autistic 3-year-old son Saturday morning, the Miramar Police Department said.

Andromeda Ortloff, who is bipolar and schizophrenic, was last seen driving a black Chevrolet Silverado with the tag AQGJ72, police said.

Orloff called her husband Sunday morning from Vidalia, Georgia, and said she wouldn't return home with her son Joseph, who is nonverbal, police said.

Miramar police later said on Twitter that the child "was located and is safe."

Police didn't provide any additional information.
