SUNRISE, Fla. – A Target cashier was arrested Sunday after she took money from customers and used the cash to transfer more than $3,000 onto store gift cards for her personal use, police said.
Dominique Gray, 24, of Lauderhill, faces a charge of retail theft.

Sunrise police said Gray accepted cash from customers making store purchases between April 14 and May 14, but, unbeknownst to customers, she transferred the money onto Target gift cards, which she used for herself and family members.
According to a police report, the total amount placed on the gift cards was $3,878.98.
Police said Gray admitted to the crime.
