Security cameras captured a white late-model four-door Mazda sedan entering the parking lot seconds after the victim pulled in.

BSO spokeswoman Gina Carter said the burglar parked his car in a spot next to the victim and then followed the victim inside the store, raising a hand to his face to conceal his identity from surveillance cameras.

Carter said the man walked around the store and then left without purchasing anything.

He then got back into his car, parked it directly in front of the victim's car and grabbed a bag from the passenger's side that was filled with personal items, including jewelry, Carter said.

The thief is described as a black man in his 20s with a thin build, short hair and closely trimmed facial hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt and dark sneakers.

Anyone with information about his identity is asked to call Detective Samantha Cottam at 954-202-3110 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
