MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Hundreds of people at Club Climaxxx ran for cover early Monday morning after shots were fired outside the northwest Miami-Dade County nightclub.
Miami-Dade police evacuated the club at Northwest 119th Street and Northwest 27th Avenue.
A rapper from Chicago was performing inside the nightclub when shots were fired, Local 10 News reporter Erica Rakow said.
Police said nobody was injured in the shooting, but Rakow spoke to a club patron who said others were trampling over each other trying to escape.
"It was serious," the woman said. "It's one way in, one way out."
She said there were men hiding in the women's bathroom.
"It was crazy," she said.
No other information was immediately available.
