He was in front of a home on Northwest Seventh Place, between 181st and 179th Terrace, when bullets started flying.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue couldn't save him.  Doctors at Hollywood Memorial Hospital pronounced him dead.

ARMED WITH GUN

The shooting happened a few days after a police officer shot 16-year-old Latavis Graham, whom they said was armed with a handgun.

Latavis was in a Kia that  didn't have a license plate and was reported stolen May 17. He was with 16-year-old Christopher Jones and 15-year-old Kennen Brown.

Both Latavis and Christopher were armed, police said.

Despite commands to drop his weapon, police said an officer shot Latavis when he pointed a gun at police officers.
