MIAMI – A suspicious package that was found Wednesday at the Stephen P. Clark Government Center in Miami has been deemed safe, authorities said.
Miami-Dade police said the package was found about 10:45 a.m. at the government center at 111 NW First St.

According to authorities, a security officer saw a homeless man slide a box under a vehicle that was parked outside the building.
Miami-Dade police's bomb squad was called as a precaution.
Authorities said the scene was declared safe at 1:45 p.m. after they determined that the box contained papers.
