MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was airlifted to a hospital Thursday after she fell down a flight of stairs on a boat, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokeswoman Erika Benitez said.
According to Benitez, the woman was found lying on the lower deck of the hull shortly after 11 a.m., in pain from the long fall.

The woman, who was aboard a 44-foot boat, was taken to Boca Chita by a fireboat and was then airlifted to a nearby trauma center.
Benitez said the woman suffered traumatic injuries.
Her identity has not been released.
