Thunderstorm gets 2 paddle boarders in trouble

MIAMI – A Miami-Dade fireboat crew rescued two men who left a 40-foot sail boat to go paddle boarding in Biscayne Bay on Friday afternoon.

About 4 p.m., the U.S. Coast Guard learned that the men were missing near the Boca Chita light house. There was a thunderstorm.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue found them on Ragged Keys, north of the light house. They were waving for help when firefighters spotted them.
