Woman robs downtown Fort Lauderdale bank

FBI says woman got away with undisclosed amount of money

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The FBI is trying to identify a woman who robbed a downtown Fort Lauderdale bank Friday afternoon.

FBI Special Agent Michael Leverock said the robbery happened about 12:30 p.m. at a Chase branch on Broward Boulevard.

Leverock said the woman entered the bank and demanded money from an employee.

Although there were customers in the bank at the time, no injuries were reported.

The woman got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone who recognizes the woman from the bank's surveillance photographs is asked to call the FBI office in South Florida at 754-703-2000.
