Airplane crashes in Pembroke Pines after problem during takeoff

No injuries reported in crash

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A Cessna 172 airplane crashed Sunday evening in a field near 7501 Pembroke Road in Pembroke Pines after taking off from the North Perry General Aviation Airport about 6:50 p.m.

Four people were on board, but there were no injuries reported.

The plane had mechanical problems during takeoff, landed roughly and flipped over, officials said. There was no information about damage to the plane.

The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate.
