Man dies after falling from Miami Beach condominium

Police investigating death at Flamingo South Beach North Tower

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A man has died after he fell from the seventh floor of a Miami Beach condominium.

Miami Beach police Officer Ernesto Rodriguez said a death investigation began Sunday night at the Flamingo South Beach North Tower, 1508 Bay Road.

Rodriguez said circumstances surrounding the man's death are unclear, but authorities do not suspect foul play.

The man's death is currently being investigated as a suicide.

Earlier this year, a man accused of killing his wife at the same condo jumped to his death from a Miami building. Police said Samir Jemaaoui, 36, was wanted on a second-degree murder charge in the death of his wife, whose body was found at the condo in February.

In August 2015, Richard Petik was shot and killed inside a glass-enclosed corridor at the condo. An attorney for Dr. Andrew Pastewski said his client shot Petik in self-defense.
