TAVERNIER, Fla. ā A Miami man was arrested Tuesday after he used a counterfeit $100 bill to buy a hair product from a Florida Keys salon, Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Becky Herrin said.
Oscar Pulido, 56, entered the Salt Hair Salon in Tavernier and used a phony $100 bill to buy a $30 hair product, Herrin said.

As Pulido left, the owner checked the bill with a counterfeit detector pen and learned that it was fake. She quickly checked to see what car Pulido was driving and gave the description to deputies, Herrin said.
A short time later, Lt. Al Ramirez stopped the car near mile marker 90, where the owner of the salon identified Pulido as the man who gave her the fake bill, Herrin said.
More counterfeit bills, all with the same two serial numbers on them, were found in Pulido's pants and inside the car, Herrin said.
Pulido faces charges of fraud and possession of 10 or more counterfeit bills.
