The cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner's Office pending an autopsy report.

Based on evidence gathered so far in the investigation, detectives do not believe that the incident is criminal in nature.

According to police, a witness called 911 early Monday and said that they believed a mannequin was on fire behind the store.

"When the fire department arrived, they realized it wasn't a mannequin, that it was actually a human being who was deceased," Pembroke Pines police spokesman Al Xiques said.

Authorities said the investigation remains active and no additional information will be released at this time.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Pembroke Pines police.
