OPA-LOCKA, Fla. – Miami-Dade Fire Rescue is investigating after a fire caused severe damage inside an Opa-locka restaurant.
Crews were called to La Romana Café, at 13880 Northwest 27th Avenue, just after 4:45 a.m. Thursday and found flames and heavy smoke coming out of the building. While firefighters were able to get the flames under control, they say the structure suffered serious damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No one was hurt.
