Man reported missing after mother found dead inside Sweetwater home

Cause of death to be determined by medical examiner

SWEETWATER, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are assisting Sweetwater police in an investigation into the death of a woman whose son is now missing.

Police said the body of Lisbeth Sandigo, 54, was found just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday inside her home at 10792 SW Fifth St.

Her cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner's office.

Detectives said her son who lived with her, Joaquin Villagra, is missing.

Detectives said they area also looking for Sandigo's beige 2005 Toyota Corolla with Florida license plate X133ZE.

Police have not said whether Villagra is considered a suspect or a person of interest in the case.
