Police car stolen from outside officer's southwest Miami-Dade home

Culprit breaks into officer's 2 personal vehicles, police say

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are searching for one of its unmarked vehicles that was stolen from outside an officer's home in southwest Miami-Dade.

The incident was reported about 9 a.m. Friday in the area of Southwest 162nd Avenue and Miller Drive.

Police said the officer woke up and discovered that his police-issued Dodge Charger was missing and that someone had broken into his two personal vehicles, a Honda Accord and a Jeep Cherokee.

The stolen 2015 Charger is dark gray with Florida tag 409XCY.
