18-year-old suspected burglar says boy made him do it, police say

Police: Steven A. Manor blames 10-year-old boy for his crime

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Police said Steven A. Manor used a large lock to break a store window. Surveillance video showed him breaking into a Dollar General Store and taking a pack of cigarettes. 

After the alarm went off, witnesses told Lake County police they saw the 18-year-old suspect and several others running from the store to a nearby motel.

According to police, when they confronted Manor about the crime, he said a 10-year-old boy and his two cousins made him do it.

Manor faced burglary, criminal mischief and petit theft charges, and he was out on a $6,250 bond, according to the Daily Commercial
