Museum showcases former presidents' hair

Exhibit runs through July 29

A Philadelphia museum is offering an exhibit showcasing the hair of former presidents to coincide with the Democratic National Convention, The Associated Press reports.

The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University has obtained hair samples of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson for its "Presidential Archives: Letters, Hair and Fossils" exhibit. The samples were given to the museum after the original owner's death in 1860.

The exhibit runs through July 29.
