Road rage suspect to Local 10 camera: 'I'm going to get you'

Omar Marquez Quiñones, 19, accused of smashing car windows with baseball bat

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A young man accused of smashing a woman's car windows last month with a baseball bat appeared in court Friday morning, and he had a message that he gave a Local 10 News camera as he walked out of the courtroom: "I'm going to get you."

It's unclear to whom specifically Omar Marquez Quiñones, 19, was directing the message as the state formally filed two charges against him for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief.

Police said cellphone video shows Quiñones swinging the bat at the 26-year-old woman's car June 18 at a red light on South Dixie Highway near Southwest 132nd Street.

According to a police report, Quiñones became enraged when he tried to change lanes and couldn't.

A fellow driver caught the whole thing on camera.

Quiñones allegedly broke through two of the women's car windows before taking off in a black Honda Civic.

Quiñones remains on house arrest after being released from jail on $8,500 bail.
