Loved ones gather to remember mom, 2 teens killed in Miami-Dade shooting

Antwon Fair arrested in fatal shooting

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Family and friends faced a new reality Wednesday night as they gathered at a vigil to find strength after a South Florida woman and two of her children were fatally shot.

"I mean, look at the people," family friendĀ Molita Cunningham said. "It shows that they are a well-liked family."

Clutching candles and shedding tears, they remembered the lives of Takeeya "KeKe" Fulton and her two teenage children.

Fulton, a 39-year-old mother of six, and her daughter,Ā NuckeriaĀ "Keria" Harris, 19, were shot inside a home along SouthwestĀ 115th Avenue after Fulton got into an argument with Antwon Fair, relatives told Local 10 News.

Sources said Harris was trying to defend her mother when she was killed.

Fulton's son, Corey "CJ" Johnson, 17, was sleeping in his bedroom when he was shot. He later died at Kendall Regional Medical Center.

Fulton's 12-year-old son was shot twice in the chest and taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center. He is listed in stable condition, but relatives told Local 10 News that he goes in and out of consciousness.

Hours before the vigil, Fair was found and arrested in Savannah, Georgia. Fair is the father of three of Fulton's children.

His capture provided some relief as the family honored the victims' memories, seeking some closure.

Fulton leaves behind four children, for whom relatives are caring.

AĀ GoFundMeĀ accountĀ has been created to help those surviving family members.

Fair is expected to return to South Florida to face murder charges.
