Man accused of using fraudulent credit card at Islamorada sports bar

Joseph Arnone, 35, says he bought credit card online, deputies say

ISLAMORADA, Fla. – A Key Largo man was arrested Saturday after he tried to use a fraudulent credit card at a sports bar in Islamorada, Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Becky Herrin said.

Herrin said Deputy Garrett Test went to the Hog Heaven Sports Bar at 7:45 p.m. after the manager called to report  a man using a fraudulent credit card in the bar.

The manager told Test that he called the bank to check the card, and was told that the man using the card was not the card's owner.

Test confronted Joseph Arnone, 35, who admitted to purchasing the card online and knowing that it was not legitimate, Herrin said.

Herrin said several other fraudulent credit cards were found in Arnone's possession.

He was arrested on a charge of possession and use of fraudulent credit cards.
