With a gun pointing at him, the clerk filled the backpack with cash and cigarettes and threw it back to them. The two ran away. But the clerk couldn't forget the backpack.

Volusia County Sheriff's Office deputies spotted the backpack and caught Luis Montanez, 18, about half a mile away from the store. They recovered the cash and the cigarettes.

About a day later, deputies also arrested Devyn Rivera, 20.

Montanez was charged with armed robbery and petit theft. Rivera was charged with violating his probation and with armed robbery.
