Man loses 300 pounds walking to Walmart every day

Pat Brocco wants to be role model for son

Pasquale "Pat" Brocco dropped more than half of his body weight by walking to Walmart when he needed a meal, according to ABC News.

The Arizona man threw out all of his food and committed to walking to his local Walmart located 1 mile from his home, three times a day. In less than two years, Brocco said he lost 200 pounds.

"You walk to Walmart three times a day, and you end up walking 6 miles," he said. "It's amazing because I never walked 6 miles in my life, and I was doing it every day."

The inspiration for change came when his doctor told him that at 605 pounds, his life was in serious danger. He went home that day and took a photo of himself in the mirror.

"I was disgusted," he said.

Now Brocco incorporates healthy foods like vegetables and grains, took out foods that he knew were sabotaging his weight-loss efforts, and works out at a gym.

He says he hopes his weight-loss journey will now set an example and be a role model for his 1-year-old son.

These are Pat's pre- and post-weight-loss diets:
