Woman raped while walking to car in Hollywood, police say

Victim's friend calls 911 after call drops

Cristian Londono-Castro is accused of raping a woman who was walking to her car in Hollywood.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A South Florida man was arrested Sunday, a day after he raped a woman while she was walking to her car in Hollywood, police said.

According to an arrest report, the victim talking to a friend on her cellphone Saturday while she was walking to her car in the 800 block of Tyler Street.

Police said the victim told her friend that she believed someone was following her, and then the call disconnected. The friend called 911.

Just as the call dropped, the victim was approached by Cristian Londono-Castro, 25, who put a knife to her neck and ordered  her to a bush on the southwest corner of a home on Tyler Street, the report said.

Detectives said Londono-Castro said "Pants" to the woman, directing her to take them off.

The woman told police that the man directed her further into the yard, where he held a knife to her face and forced her to perform oral sex on him.

Police said Londono-Castro also raped the woman, but he fell down at one point while trying to turn her over  and she was able to run away.

The woman ran to a nearby home with her pants still partially down, and the homeowner allowed her to wait inside until police arrived.

Police said the victim went back to the scene to get her car keys and found Londono-Castro's wallet on the ground.

Detectives said she identified the suspect from his driver's license picture.

Londono-Castro was arrested the next day on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and sexual assault with a weapon.
