MIAMI – Miami police are asking for the public's help in finding an armed man who robbed a Subway restaurant.

A man posing as an interested customer entered the Subway restaurant at 7 Northwest 54th Street at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

The man went up to the counter, approached the employee and showed and told her he had a gun under his shirt, police said. He demanded all of the money from inside the cash register.

The employee gave the man the money. Police said the man fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The robber is described by police as a 30- to 35-year-old black man who is 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 200 to 210 pounds and has a full beard. Police said he was last seen wearing a dark-colored T-shirt with a "Marilyn Monroe" imprint on it, dark-colored loose-fitting long shorts, a black baseball cap and sunglasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Miami Police Department's robbery unit at 305-603-6370.
