WESTON, Fla. – Surveillance video released Thursday shows a shirtless man burglarizing a Hair Cuttery in Weston.

The burglary was reported Aug. 13 at the Hair Cuttery at 16210 Indian Trace.

Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Gina Carter said the half-naked man, who was wearing black gloves, khaki shorts and black athletic shoes, used a crowbar to pry open a rear door.

He ransacked the front desk and used the crowbar to try to pry open a cash register.

Carter said he slammed the register drawer on the floor when that didn't work, forcing it open.

The man left with a pouch filled with cash.

Detectives believe the same man is also responsible for a similar burglary, reported the same night, at another Hair Cuttery at 314 Indian Trace.

Anyone with information about his identity is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
