MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are searching for two men who robbed a customer last month at a pizzeria.

Detectives said two men, wearing gloves and covering their faces with their shirts, entered the restaurant.

Miami-Dade police spokeswoman Marjorie Eloi said a man armed with a semi-automatic pistol stood look out as the other man demanded an employee to open the cash register.

The cashier, who was a new employee, didn't know how, so the men ordered everyone inside to kneel, Eloi said.

Police said the men searched the customers and took $20 from a woman who was about to pay for her order, along with her expensive purse, which contained more cash.

The three customers and two employees inside the restaurant were not injured.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
