Woman attempts to rob CVS Pharmacy at gunpoint, Miami-Dade police say

Cashier pretends not to hear woman's demands

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are searching for a woman who attempted to rob a CVS Pharmacy this month at gunpoint.

The attempted robbery was reported about 7:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at the CVS at 11503 Quail Roost Drive.

Police said the woman, who was wearing a long-sleeve orange shirt, entered the store and pretended to buy merchandise.

As the cashier was ringing up the items, the woman pulled a handgun from her waistband and demanded money from the cash register, police said.

The cashier pretended not to hear the woman, and the thief ran out of the store with only the merchandise, police said.

Anyone with information about the woman's identity is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
