He was wearing a helmet. Doctors pronounced him dead at Broward Health North.

The driver of the Tesla, Jesse Best, 27, of Clearwater, and the passenger with him, Mark D. Best III, 73, of Spring Hill, were not injured.

The FHP determined they were both wearing their seatbelts and had not been drinking alcohol. The results of Savino's toxicology test remain pending. And the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
