Mother of 6 shot about 13 times outside home, police say

Detectives call shooting a case of domestic violence

MIAMI – A woman was shot multiple times early Tuesday outside her home, Miami police.

The victim was identified as 35-year-old Shaqueenia Hana. Police said she was shot about 13 times outside her home in the 400 block of Northwest 73rd Terrace.

"I heard eight gun shots (and) then police showed up," a neighbor said.

Hana is a mother of six. Witnesses said she was shot in front of her children, including the youngest, who is just 5 years old.

"A bunch of screaming -- kids were screaming, 'My mom is dead,'" a witness said.

Hana was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she underwent surgery and is listed in critical condition.

Police called the incident a case of domestic violence, and said they have identified Terrell Jimmel Robinson, 30, as the gunman.

"He committed a crime in front of her children, and something needs to be done about it," family friend Tamika Wallace said. "It tears me up because it is something they will carry for the rest of their lives."

Robinson is expected to be charged with attempted first-degree murder when he is captured.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to his arrest.
