FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A Spirit Airlines pilot aboard Flight 303 reported seeing a green laser illuminate the cockpit of the Airbus A320 on Tuesday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the plane was flying at an altitude of about 5,000 feet and was located about 5 miles west of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport when the pilot reported seeing the green laser at 10:15 p.m.

The crew reported no injuries, and the flight landed safely at the airport, Bergen said.
The FAA and local law enforcement are investigating.
