Miramar police arrest man accused of burglarizing fast food chains

MIRAMAR, Fla. ā€“ Miramar police have arrested a man they believe has been burglarizing fast food chains throughout the city, police announced Thursday.

The first burglary was reported about 1:50 a.m. Tuesday at a KFC/Taco Bell in the 3600 block of Utopia Drive.

Police said Rodriguez Rivera smashed a window with a hammer and pried open a cash register.

They said he burglarized a Little Caesars in the 3300 block of University Drive about an hour later.

The front door was smashed at the location, and a register was damaged.

Rodriguez Rivera is also believed to have broken into a cash register at a Subway the same morning.
