Man robs northeast Miami-Dade 7-Eleven at gunpoint, police say

Thief gets away with $50 from cash register

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are searching for a man who robbed a 7-Eleven convenience store last week at gunpoint.

The armed robbery was reported shortly after 11:30 a.m. Sept. 1 at the 7-Eleven at 1000 NE 215th St.

Police said the man pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the cashier and ordered her to hand over money from the register.

Police said the man got away with $50.

He left in a gray sedan that was driven by an accomplice, police said.

No employees or customers were injured during the robbery.

Police believe the same man is responsible for at least another two robberies in Miami-Dade County.

Surveillance video shows a man, appearing to have the same type of clothing as the man in the 7-Eleven robbery, ambushing a clerk Tuesday inside Diamond Girl Beauty Supply.

"He asked for all the cash in the register," Moe Abdallah said.

The same man is believed to have robbed another beauty supply store in July in North Miami Beach.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
