2 die during armed robbery outside M&M Too Sweet nightclub

Miami-Dade County search for armed killer of 2

MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – Two were killed early Saturday morning outside of a nightclub known as M&M Too Sweet in South Miami-Dade County's Goulds neighborhood. 

Miami-Dade County Police identified the victims as 36-year-old VonTavius "Tay" Sands and Edward Seymour, 46. They were shot several times, police said.

Seymour and Sands were standing next to Seymour's silver Cadillac CTS at 12002 SW 220 St. A man walked up to them and shot them, according to police.

"The subject entered the driver's seat of the vehicle pointed a gun at [woman] who was seated in the passenger seat, demanded her property an told her to get out of the car," Detective Jennifer Capote said.

After the shooting, the armed robber stole the car and drove away southbound, Capote said.  

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue pronounced both men dead. Police recovered the Cadillac.
