NORFOLK, Va. – U.S. marshals want to question a woman who is believed to have married one of America's most wanted fugitives two years after he is believed to have stabbed a fellow Hampton University student to death.

Authorities said Jihad Amir Ramadan, 30, killed the victim in 2005 and, based on a photo posted on social media, married a woman in 2007.

U.S. marshals believe that the couple wed in New York or New Jersey, but they believe that Ramadan might be going by an alias.

Ramadan was born Justin Faustin, but his family later changed his name.

Detectives believe that Ramadan fled to New York after the killing. His last known address was on Irving Place in New Rochelle.

U.S. marshals said the Ramadan family has relatives and acquaintances living in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and California. The family also has extensive ties to the Caribbean, particularly Trinidad.

While Ramadan's wife is not suspected of any wrongdoing, U.S. marshals was to speak with her about Ramadan.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the U.S. marshals communications center at 800-336-0102. A reward of up to $2,500 is offered to anyone with information about her whereabouts.
