Police said the driver first struck a car in the driveway and then rammed into the house.
The driver of the truck that had with a trailer on the back was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men inside the truck were rushed to a hospital with serious injuries.
"It does not appear to be any skid marks or anything that would indicate that the driver had control of the vehicle," Fort Lauderdale police spokeswoman Tracy Figone said.
Detectives believe that the truck was headed south on North 23rd Avenue when the driver might have had a medical episode and lost control of the vehicle.
"They said he had a seizure, so he probably just lost control," Thompson said.
Crews spent hours removing the driver's body and then the truck, which was badly damaged from the impact..
No one was injured inside the home.
