MARGATE, Fla. – One person was injured Sunday when a vehicle struck a big rig on Sawgrass Expressway and 441, authorities said.
Margate-Coconut Creek Fire Department personnel were sent to the crash site around 5:30 p.m.

The semitractor-trailer was hit by the passenger side of the other vehicle. The vehicle's driver, who was the only occupant, was transported to Broward Health North as a Level 2 trauma alert.
The accident is under investigation.
