FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A 24-year-old woman was arrested Thursday after she attacked another woman with a box cutter, authorities said.

According to an arrest report, Latoya Young, of Fort Lauderdale, was seen on surveillance video holding a box cutter while following the victim through the parking lot of the Rochelle Motel at 825 NW 27th Ave. in unincorporated Broward County.

The victim told Broward sheriff's deputies that Young attacked her and she was unable to fight back because she has a leg injury.

Detectives said Young identified herself in the video and admitted that she was holding a box cutter.

Young was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

A motive for the attack is unknown.
