Burglar steals tobacco products, ninja sword from North Lauderdale convenience store

Man entered store 3 times within 30 minutes, deputies say

NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for a burglar who stole tobacco products and a ninja sword from a convenience store in North Lauderdale.

The burglary was reported shortly before 4:30 a.m. Nov. 3 at a Kwik Stop Food Store at 7120 Kimberly Blvd.

Deputies said the man entered the store three times within 30 minutes.

The first time he carried a gym bag and wore latex-like gloves and stole numerous tobacco products and the ninja sword. The second time he was without his gloves or Nike sandals and stole more tobacco products, like cigars, marijuana grinders and a hookah, deputies said.

Authorities said the burglar returned once more wearing only basketball shorts.

Deputies said the burglar tried to cover his face with his shirt and hands and wore his hair in spiky twists.

Anyone with information about his identity is asked to call Detective Lisa Sokol at 954-720-2251. Anonymous tips can be made by calling Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
