MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – A natural gas leak forced authorities to shut down Northwest Second Avenue Monday in Miami Gardens, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said.

The leak was reported at a plaza at 18400 NW Second Ave.

Authorities said northbound and southbound lanes are closed.

All employees and bystanders have been evacuated from the plaza, and have been ordered to stay up to 1,000 feet away.

The cause of the gas leak is not clear.
