The two set up a meeting at the bank's parking lot, 4400 Inverrary Blvd., to make the exchange, Slowsky said. But there was no deal.

Instead of getting the car, a masked man took his cash, a witness said.

Lauderhill detectives were investigating the case. Slowsky said they had a description of the subject and a partial tag of the car he used to get away with the undisclosed amount of cash.

Police did not release the surveillance video.
